Carl Smith, Jr.

Carl Lewis Smith, Jr., age 75, of Pine River, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at his home. He was born to Carl and Marie Smith on July 12, 1943, in Boone, Iowa. Carl was employed by MV Gas. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years. Carl loved his dogs, flowers, old cars, being a mechanic, tinkering with cars and he had a great sense of humor. He was a member of the Lakers Car Club.

Carl is survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Carl Smith III (Tanya); daughters: Carol Lampshire (Sean), Anna Smith (Dale Hirdler), Julie Smith; sisters, Donna Peterson (Jerry), Rosie Freeman (Bill); 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jenny Schnoor and Chaz Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 1 PM on Monday, April 8, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
