Cecelia Marie (Brill) Cummings, 75, of Jenkins, MN, passed away October 14, 2018, at home surrounded by her family.

Cecelia was born March 4, 1943, to Bill and Dora (Bettelyoun) Brill in Vancouver, WA, during WWII while Bill was a welder in the shipyards. They would return home to Long Valley, SD, where she lived until Nov. 1, 1962, when she married Ed “Dane” Cummings in Rapid City, SD. They were blessed with 2 children, Jody and Carla. The early years were spent in California, Texas and Wyoming before returning home to Martin, SD, for the next 16 years. In 1987 her family made their final move to Minnesota where she worked as a custodian for 23 years at the Pequot Lakes School. This is where she became known to many by the name “CeCe”.

Cecelia enjoyed traveling, old westerns, going to casinos, music and spending time with family. One of her highlights was a trip to England that her son took her on so she could be with her sisters. She was a very proud grandma who loved her grandchildren dearly, attending as many of their games and activities she could with hockey quickly becoming her favorite to watch.

Cecelia is survived by her son, Jody Cummings of Pequot Lakes, MN; daughter, Carla (Ed) Carlson of Nisswa, MN; grandchildren: Lindsey Cummings of Martin, SD, Cody Carlson (Amanda Pylka) of Walker, MN, Mandy (Sam) Larsen of Bemidji, MN; sisters, Naomi Cummings and Delores (Bob) Dixon, both of Prineville, OR; brother, Raymond (Paula) Brill of Wickenburg, AZ; her loving ex-husband, Ed Cummings of Mahnomen, MN; special sister-in-law, Barbara Brill of Rapid City, SD; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dora; brothers, Chris, Clayton and Clarence Brill; special brother-in-law, Clarence “Swede” Cummings; and many more extended family members.

Memorial services will be 11 AM on Tuesday, November 13, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
