Jerome Pierson

Jerome (Jerry) Pierson, age 66, of Breezy Point, MN, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at his home. He was born December 31, 1941, in Britton, SD to Carl and Leone Pierson. A business owner, Jerry spent most of his life in the bar and restaurant business. He formerly owned the Commander Bar in Breezy Point from 1978 to 1981 and the Bar-n Restaurant and Bar in Aberdeen, SD. He currently owned the R&A Bar in Aberdeen and was actively involved with the development and management of the Birchwood Restaurant in Breezy Point.
Jerry lived a full life, exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit in everything he did. He was a participant in life rather than a spectator and was known to take risks and create opportunities for himself and others. He loved to fish, play cards, and travel. He had a huge heart and will missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Clarice Blaeser-Pierson; children: Tammy Quist of Estes Park, Colorado, Steve Pierson (Diane) of Fort Collins, Colorado, Wayne Pierson (Joy) of Murfreesborough, Tennessee, Debbie Bruce (Harold) of Grand Forks, North Dakota; former wife, Faye Roy of Aberdeen, Justin Pierson of Aberdeen; stepchildren: Stephanie Murray (Mike), Steve Blaeser (Lori Swanstrom), Larry Blaeser, Don Blaeser, all of the Pequot Lakes area, Dave Blaeser (Cathy) of Lakeville; sister, Carla Petersen of St. Paul; niece, Anne Petersen of Pennsylvania; 15 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren; and special friend, Connie Skatvold of Aberdeen.
Services will be 11 AM on Tuesday, February 26 at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes. A reception will be held at Birchwood Restaurant after the 11 AM service. A second visitation will be Thursday, February 28 from 3 to 6 PM at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home in Aberdeen followed by a reception at the R&A Bar. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
