Jordan Bendson

January 14, 1992 — March 29, 2019

Jordan Bendson, 27, of Motley passed away March 29, 2019 as a result of a long battle with lymphoma. His loved ones were by his side as he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was born to Lorna Bendson (Birkholtz) and Bill Bendson of Motley on January 14, 1992. Jordan was a 2010 graduate of Staples-Motley Schools. He was an avid athlete throughout his high school career. He placed in state in both Cross Country and Wrestling over multiple years.

Jordan attended Concordia College in Moorhead, where he was a wrestler on the college team. After college he worked in construction in Moorhead. He then returned to Motley and became an amazing cook at Bricks Travel Center in Motley. Over the years, he was an incredible uncle for his niece and nephew.

Jordan is survived by his parents, Lorna Bendson and Norby, and Bill Bendson and Ledona of Motley; his sister, Paige (Casey) Uggerud, nephew, Jerrick, and niece, Winter, of Virginia, Minnesota; his three half siblings: Jason (Keri) Bendson and their children Taylor, Alexis, Jacob and Grace, Ross Bendson and his children Cameron, Briana, Brooke and Logan, Ashley (Keith) Trout and their children Isaac and Riley; his German brother, Till Diepenbrock; and his maternal grandparents, Ervin and Susan Birkholtz of Motley. He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Christina Garcia and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward and Evelyn Bendson.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kline Funeral Home in Pine River. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Motley Free Methodist Church, with a viewing the hour preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations in Jordan’s name to the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, Minnesota as, through much of his treatment, it became a place of comfort and healing.
