Lynette Nichols

October 18, 1956 — October 30, 2022

Lynette Nichols, age 66, of Pine River, passed away Sunday, October 30. She was born October 18, 1956. She met Don in Delaware, and they married on June 29, 1996. They shared the last 26 years together.

Lynette worked as an in-home childcare provider since 1994. She loved her family and spending time with her husband of 26 years, children, and grandchildren. She loved her time with Stella her dog and Barley her cat. During her free time, she enjoyed decorating for the holidays. Christmas, of course, was always her favorite. Her home always had a special touch with so many holiday decorations and was welcoming to family and friends as she loved to entertain everyone. She loved dancing with her husband and anyone else that would dance with her. Spending time on the boat, out cruising various lakes, watching boats pass by, fishing, and pulling the grandkids and children around on the tubes.

She was a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan and made sure that everyone knew how much she loved them!  She and Don went to a few games, and she enjoyed watching them in person and to cheer them on. She was always full of smiles and made everyone laugh that was around her. She was a strong support system to her family and friends. Cookouts, beanbag toss tournaments, and just entertaining friends and family was something she was so very passionate about.

Any time a grandchild was born she had to be the first one to hold her babies. Her face would always light up when you would come to visit her. When she saw her grandchildren, her light just brightened. Everyone knew her as Momma or Granny, and she was so very proud of everyone calling her that. She would just shine when her family was together. Her laugh was one of a kind.

She loved to sit by the fire in the spring and fall and order things “stupidly” online. A story was told that a flagpole was ordered one of these nights. She bowled on a women’s league and co-ed team and was a great support system to all of the members that bowled with her. Her favorite time at bowling was to give everyone a hard time about how they were bowling so much better than her, and state bowling was always a treat for her to go to.

Lynette is survived by her husband, Don; children: Stacy (Cliff), Dayton (Samantha), Emily (Jason), Ashley, Chelsea (fiancé, Arez); grandchildren: Brittany, Andrea, Joshua, Christian, Kaylee, Ryley, Isaiah, Noah, Olivia, Anthony, Micah, Charles, Jaron; lifetime friend, Kim Bachmann; fur children: dog daughter, Stella; cat son, Barley and granddog, Millie.

Services will be 11 AM on Monday, November 7, at Eagles Nest Church, Breezy Point. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
