Virginia Lawrence

Virginia was born Sept 18, 1923 near Morris MN. She was the 12th child, 6th girl of Jake and Kate (Sangl) Koons. She started School at rural Morris then moved to Chokio and the while she was in high school to Motley MN and attended school there. She also attended Aggie School in Morris.

She married Alfred Lawrence at Maple Hill Lutheran Church June 5, 1949. They farmed near Leader MN.

Virginia enjoyed gardening and berry picking and loved to cook and sew. In her later years she enjoyed traveling to many places around the country. She also enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She passed away March 11, 2019 after a fall and infections. She lies next to her husband and nearby her beloved Mother-in-law.

She is survived by her oldest child and spouse and their 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Preceded in death by 1 grandchild.
Her daughter Lillian and husband Marlin, their children Trinity/Charleen, Teeann/Scott, Heidi, Jake/Sarah and grandchildren Skye, Aryk, Shelby, Dylan, Grace, Tatum, Joel and Scott jr. Preceded in death by granddaughter Melissa Anne.

Her son Chris and wife Dwaneen and son Brandon.
