Clarence Harrington

November 18, 1924 — December 17, 2019

Clarence “Shorty” Harrington, age 95, of Pine River, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society – Bethany, Brainerd. He was born to Marcus and Ora Harrington on November 18, 1924, in Pequot Lakes.

Clarence enjoyed the outdoors, farming, gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved playing baseball with his family and was a MN Twins fan. Clarence worked at Durkee Manufacturing in Pine River for many years. He was PFC in the Army during WWII, serving in France and Germany in the 787th Military Police Battalion.

Clarence is survived by his children: Michael Harrington (Grace) of Tyler, TX, Donna Strom-Kirkpatrick of Pine River, Larry Harrington of Pine River, Clarence Harrington, Jr. of Milaca; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katherine; brother, Clayton; Sister, Hazel Garner; and grandson, Jeff Parks-Harrington.

Services will be 11 AM on Monday, December 23, at Pleasant Hill Community Church, rural Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
