Dean Anderson

Dean C. Anderson, age 86, of Pine River, passed away August 23, 2021 at Essentia Hospital in Brainerd. Dean was born December 9, 1934, to Homer and Faye Anderson at their home near Woonsocket, South Dakota. While living in Illinois, Dean met his wife, Kathy. They were married 61 years when she passed away in 2019.  Dean and Kathy made their home in Bloomington, MN where they raised their son, Mike. Dean worked as a Sheet Metal Fabricator prior to moving to Pequot Lakes where they owned/operated a small convenience store/bait shop.  Dean and Kathy retired in Pine River where Dean enjoyed raising horses with his son, Mike. Dean loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with family and friends.

Dean is survived by his son, Mike (Kim) of Pine River; grandchildren, Cory (Chelsey) of Elbow Lake and Jamie (Landon) of Pequot Lakes; great grandchildren: Camden, Colton, Cayden, Callen, Jovi, Jackson, Jayce and Cashten; brothers, Don and Dallas; sister, Jennell Spoor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy and his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
