Marlene Moser

November 30, 1942 — November 17, 2021

Marlene Alice Moser went on to be with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, on November 17, 2021 with the promise and absolute assurance of Abundant and Joyous Life Everlasting.

Marlene was born to Robert and Doris Coulter of Pine River, MN, on November 30, 1942. She was born into a telephone pioneering family, and was the granddaughter of the late Louis and Esther Arvig, who brought the first telephone service to this area in 1919. Marlene spent some of her teenage years working the manual operator switchboard at various Arvig exchanges.

Marlene was extra blessed, having two remarkable and loving husbands during her lifetime, Lowell “Bub” Moser, and Carl Anderson; both of whom preceded Marlene in death. She is also preceded in death by sister, Rosella Johnson.

Marlene is survived by two children, and one grandson:  daughter, Carlene Anderson (Dave Peterson), son, Blake Anderson, and grandson, Brendin Anderson (Nikki).  Marlene is also survived by two step-children, Lynn Moser (Laurie), Becky Wells (Vince); two step-grandchildren, Laura Moser and Desmond Elliot; two brothers, Larry Coulter and Donovan Coulter (Joann). Marlene was fortunate to have numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends that she treasured every day and loved each one of them individually.

Marlene enjoyed many adventures during her lifetime including horseback riding, snowmobiling, fishing, boating, and a multitude of extended trips.  Her beautiful gift of music was a special ministry to many. Marlene was an active member at the Log Church in Crosslake, and they truly became her extended family in Christ.

At this time our family would like to express our deepest gratitude and sincerest thanks to Whitefish at the Lakes Senior Living in Crosslake and St. Croix Hospice Care, who selflessly gave of their time and energy, helping us navigate through some dark and uncertain times.

A glorious Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 11:00 AM at the Crosslake Log Church. Marlene’s family invites you to join them in the Fellowship Hall following the service for a catered luncheon and time of sharing.

We are commemorating Marlene in a special way by contributing to the “Inspirational Garden of Peace“ to be created on the beautiful grounds of the Crosslake Log Church. Marlene enjoyed many years planting and nurturing lovely flower gardens, integrating serene walking pathways throughout. This passion created her happy place of inspiration, which will be carried forward for others to enjoy special moments of reflection in the Garden of Peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent for this memorial to:  The Log Church in Memory of Marlene Moser, 37218 County Rd 66, Crosslake, MN 56442
