Meta Westphal

Meta Westphal, age 92, passed from this life on Thursday, December 9, 2021.  Meta was born September 23, 1929 in Lisbon, North Dakota to John and Elizabeth Sterling. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 siblings, David, Remko (Bud) and Tina. After the passing of her first husband, Clarence Jasmer, in 1996, Meta remarried to LeRoy Westphal in 2003, who passed away in 2015.

Meta loved Jesus, her family, her friends, and helping and serving others. While she had a variety of jobs throughout her life, what she loved most of all was the period when she cared for handicapped children. Kids were her passion!

Meta is survived by her daughter, Jeannine (Jasmer) Thomas of  Mountainburg, AR; grandson, Nathan Ritchey of Carrollton, TX; granddaughter, Tammy Ritchey of Seattle, WA; great grandchildren, Brooks and Alec; brother, Pete Sterling; sister, Reggie Sterling; nephew, Don Heitmiller; and several other nieces, nephews and family members.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
