Peggy Sue Eckman lost her battle with cancer on February 10, 2021, surrounded by her family, at the age of 45. She was born to Ella and Jesse Eckman on September 1, 1975, in Grand Rapids, MN. When Peggy was young her family lived in Remer, Hackensack, Pine River, then back to Hackensack. They moved back to the Pine River/Backus area when Peggy was a teenager.

Peggy Sue Eckman lost her battle with cancer on February 10, 2021, surrounded by her family, at the age of 45. She was born to Ella and Jesse Eckman on September 1, 1975, in Grand Rapids, MN. When Peggy was young her family lived in Remer, Hackensack, Pine River, then back to Hackensack. They moved back to the Pine River/Backus area when Peggy was a teenager.

Peggy loved outdoor adventures while riding horses, camping and walking. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, playing cards, sitting outside watching nature, relaxing by a campfire and visiting and laughing with her family and friends. Peggy loved her grandchildren dearly. She was a very humorous, caring, strong and independent person and had a major crush on Tom Cruise.

Peggy is survived by her parents; children: Heather Eckman, Austin Hines, Autumn Hines (Craig Owen); grandchildren: Riley, Sebastian and Maria Francis; siblings: Martha Wendt (James), Jessica Johnson, Jody Eckman, Elvis Eckman (Amanda), Charolette Hines (Jeremy), Christopher Eckman, Luke Eckman, Rebecca Eckman; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ira and Avis Eckman; grandmother, Laura Haggard; uncle, Raymond Haggard, Jr.; aunt, Heidi Olson; uncle, Doug Olson; and numerous friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
