Randall Flategraff

Randall Flategraff passed away at his home in Jenkins, MN, on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. He was born to Alfred M. Flategraff and Maxine K. (McAllister) Flategraff on January 9, 1952. Randall spent most of his adult life in Minnesota.

Randall grew up in Montana and graduated in 1970 from Bozeman High School in Bozeman, MT. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served at Fort Richardson, AK and Fort Carson, CO. Randall graduated from the Diesel Mechanic program at Detroit Lakes Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN in 1978. He owned and operated his own truck for many years. Randall also attended Bemidji State University for an accounting degree from 2000-2003. He exceled and was on the Dean’s List for all 3 years.

Randall is survived by his sons, Randall of Crosslake, MN, Russell (Meg) of Pequot Lakes, MN, and Raymond of Crosby, MN; his beloved grandchildren: Olivia age 13, Sophia age 11, Jack age 7 and Odin 2.5 months of age; his mother, Maxine K. Nelson and stepfather/dad, Marvin T. Nelson, of Gallatin Gateway, MT; siblings: Mitchell B. (Cynthia) Nelson, of Gallatin Gateway, Marcyne K. (David) Kennedy, of Chiloquin, WA, Merry A. (Jerry) Smith of Livingston, MT, Michalyn J. (Tom) Born, of Seligman, AZ,  Jill (Keith) Carlson, of Anoka, MN, David Flategraff, of Erin, TN, Dennis Peterson, of Breezy Point, MN; wife and friend of 50 years, Debra Durham Flategraff; his beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred M. Flategraff; paternal grandparents, Henry and Margaret Flategraff; maternal grandparents, Daniel P. and Hedwig (Norberg) McAllister; his brother, Bradley Flategraff of Gallatin Gateway, MT; his sister, Sue Davis of Broomfield, CO; and his dogs, Baby and Sadie Louise.

At Randall’s request, no services will be held, and cremation has taken place. A celebration of Randall’s life will be held later.
