Robert Kevelin

Robert John “Bob” Kevelin, age 78, of Pine River, passed into the arms of his Lord on April 6, 2021. He was born September 16, 1942, in Hopkins, MN.

Bob graduated high school in Hopkins and attended Vo-Tech for welding. He was a skilled cabinet maker and had this crazy ability to fix or repair almost anything. Bob married Lorna Phelps in 1961. They lived in Eden Prairie, MN, for 21 years and raised their family while working for an industrial cabinet shop. In September of 1991, they moved to Pine River, bought a farm and worked side by side haying and had a small cow/calf operation just in time for the Halloween blizzard! He worked for Nagel Custom Cabinets until he retired and finally had time to enjoy the farm and hunting and fishing with family and friends. He had deer camp for 30 years at the farm where his grandkids and nephews got their first deer and made so many great memories. It made him so happy to teach his grandchildren about farming and how to fix and build things. He was always on call and would rush to help his family, friends and neighbors in a heartbeat and had a love so deep for all of his family.

Bob is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 60 years, Lorna; daughters, Sandra Loberg, Julie (Marc) Brinkman; son, Michael (Cheryl) Kevelin; grandchildren: Amanda, Megan, Nicole (Clint), Kyle (Alisha), Mike (Nicole), Cody (Kate), Kelly, Justin (Madison), Hailey, Jailyn, Mady, Camryn, Josh; sister, Mary (Wayne) Stevenson; brother, John Kevelin; sister-in-law, Sherry (Jim) Ellman; brother-in-law, Robert Phelps; and many nieces and nephews.
