Robert Lawrence “Bob” Rice, age 70, of Pine River, MN, passed away on July 16, 2022, at Maple Woods Assisted Living in Cohasset, MN, due to renal disease. Bob was born on September 23, 1951, in Winnebago, MN, to Sidney and Tillie (Wiese) Rice. He grew up in Minnesota and in the sand hills of Nebraska. On May 18, 1974, Bob married Debra Starr. They had two daughters, Becky and Tammy. Bob worked for Jim Peterson’s ranch north of Arnold, NE, at the 96 Ranch north of Brady, NE and at Big Creek Ranch north of Mullen, NE until it was sold. Bob then moved his family north of North Platte, NE working at the Hansen 77 Ranch for Tom Hansen. When he and Deb divorced, he and his daughters moved back to Mullen, NE. He worked for Quarter Circle Bar Ranch for 9 years. In 1985 Bob married and divorced Twila Lockhart. In 1987 Bob moved to Imperial, NE where he worked for Curly Olney Inc. Case IH. On March 22, 1988, Bob married Joyce Wynn. They had a daughter, Amanda. In 1992 Bob moved to Pine River, MN, where he started his own mechanic shop, Precision Mechanic. He ran his shop for many years until having his leg amputated.

Bob loved his dogs, hunting, fishing, spending time with family and helping others fix their big equipment and vehicles.

Bob is survived by his daughters: Becky (Dave Hassett), Tammy (Ray) Boston, Amanda (Jeremy) Armstrong; grandchildren: Trey Seevers, Colten Seevers, Syras Boston, Sabryna Boston, Levi Seibert-Rice; brothers, Jim (Charlene) Rice and Leo (Karen Vollmer) Rice; and sister-in-law, Louise Rice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Tillie Rice; brothers, Lee Rice and Donald Rice; and niece, Sheila Rice.

Services will be 6 PM on Friday, July 22, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Monday, July 25, at Cedarview Cemetery, Mullen, Nebraska.
