It is with heartbreaking sadness that the family of Ryan Headlee announce his passing on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the age of 40 years old, at the Fargo Hospital. Ryan was born to Jamie Burnard and Lewis Headlee March 30, 1981 in Brainerd, MN. After 11 years together, Ryan married Amy Pikula on February 23, 2016.
Ryan graduated from Brainerd High School in 1999. He lived in Pequot Lakes, MN most of his life and that is also where he and Amy chose to raise their family. Ryan was a very proud father of Natascha Pikula, Lucas Headlee, and Olivia Headlee, and proud grandfather of Liam Pikula, and Calvin Lewis. A family man at heart, Ryan could often be found playing basketball with Lucas, camping or sitting around a campfire, hunting, fishing or just going for a boat ride, swimming, or spending the day at the zoo with his family. Ryan cherished the simplicity of just spending time with his family and friends enjoying the little things in life. Ryan’s honest, kind, loyal and easy-going personality made him a treasured friend to many. Ryan was always there to lend a hand when needed.
Second to his family, Ryan was a passionate business man and entrepreneur. For nearly 20 years, Ryan Headlee Construction covered many bases from general contractor, masonry work, excavating, snow removal, and his latest passion of mastering all aspects of tree service. Ryan was an exceptional craftsman, hard worker, and always up for a new challenge. The hole he will be leaving in the construction industry in the Brainerd Lakes Area will be noticed by many.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Doris Headlee; grandmother, Nora “Tudy” Burnard; and cousin, Branden Burnard. Ryan is survived by his wife, Amy Headlee; children, Natascha (26), Lucas (10), and Olivia (7); grandchildren, Liam (5) and Calvin (1 ½); mother, Jamie Burnard; father, Lewis Headlee; stepmother, Nancy Headlee; grandfather, George Burnard; sisters, Kari Shelter and Kelli Headlee; brother, Travis Cizek; step-brother, Brandon Cizek; and many other beloved family members and friends.
