Steven Allan Van Kleeck, 25, passed away August 4, 2021, at his home in Los Altos Hills, CA. He was born May 15, 1996, in Havre, MT, to Thomas and Robin Van Kleeck. Steven moved to Pequot Lakes when he was just a month old. He attended school in Pequot Lakes and graduated in 2014.

Steven played many sports in school with his emphasis being baseball. He was an avid golfer as well. After high school Steven worked at the Preserve Golf Course and then moved to the Chicago area to work at Cog Hill Golf Course. He eventually went to Maui and met his best friend and traveling companion, Stephen Finn – and travel they did! Steven traveled to New York City, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, Hawaii, Jackson Hole, and one of his favorite trips recently was to Panama. He always made time to come back to visit Pequot Lakes. Steven got interested in digital drone photography and editing and began pursuing an education in that field. He found a passion in it and was very good at it.

Steven is survived by his mother, Robin Van Kleeck of Pequot Lakes; brother, Michael Van Kleeck of Pequot Lakes; grandmother, Rosetta Van Kleeck of Yuma, AZ and Maui; his one and only favorite niece, Lilly Van Kleeck; many aunts, uncles, cousins; best friend, Stephen Finn; and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Van Kleeck; grandfathers, Edward Van Kleeck, Allan “Whitey” Larson; and grandmother, Shirley Larson. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Services will be 12 PM on Saturday, August 21, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
